Financial Planning

What is financial planning?
Financial Planning aims to give our clients objective assistance in organising their personal or corporate financial affairs to more readily achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.

This can lead to the recommendation of specific contracts or policies, eg life assurance or a personal pension, but initially it will result in the production of a plan devised specifically for each client, focussing on strategy and goals.

The financial planning process
First appointment

Upon appointment our first step will be to start to prepare a financial plan tailored to your particular requirements and situation.

Setting goals

We will spend some time talking with you to identify your goals over the short, medium and long term. After that we will find out details about your specific circumstances, and build up a comprehensive picture of your situation which we can then analyse.

At this stage we will also assess your attitude to risk and, once agreed, all strategies and options will be explained.

Action plan

This leads on to the formation of an action plan on how you can best reach your stated goals. Our report will explain the approach we have taken and why. Should you have any queries or concerns at this stage then the strategy can be altered or amended.

The next stage is to implement that plan step by step, and we will give guidance on the most suitable way to go about this, which can include recommending products available on the market at the current time.

Regular reviews

Progress needs to be revised at regular intervals which we will agree with you, and adjustments made as necessary, depending on changes in circumstances, risk profile or your initial goals.

Finding your way around all the various financial products available can be confusing if you aren’t familiar with these products, or if you aren’t really sure what you might be looking for.

If at any time you are still confused, just call us – we’re here to offer financial advice to suit your circumstances!
